MICHAEL STOREY (ART OF A FINE NATURE)

A vivid imagination, a lifelong affair with wildlife and a wellspring of innovation make up the appeal of Michael Storey’s bronze work.

The ability Michael has to capture each animal’s character in solid bronze has given Michael an internationally acclaimed status. Best known for his superb interpretations of hares and foxes Michael also turns his skill to marine creatures such as sea horses and turtles where the bronze is an ideal medium to work with.

Although born in England, Michael Storey moved to New Zealand at an early age. On finishing school he then settled in Australia and started his first studio foundry. He has since moved back to Britain and has opened up a second foundry in Somerset and a third in the U.S.A. He recently moved from Bath to North Wales to fix an ageing cottage.

Michael’s work is incredibly popular striking a chord with anyone that sees it. His clients include Federal Heads of State, the British Royal Family, and corporate and private collectors.

The Somerset foundry that Michael began has become very successful and they have now produce the work of other artists working in bronze such as Shane Whitehead, Michelle Hall and Ian Edwards.
