KEVIN SAFE

Kevin has spent 10 years finding and developing his distinctive style that is very strong on colour and texture. It was living in Cornwall that really set him up for being freer in his work and exploring ways of depicting favourite places of his. Cornish harbour scenes and the vast landscapes of his home county of Wiltshire are recurring scenes as well as the tall Georgian buildings of Bristol and Bath.

He has exhibited in Bath, Cambridge and Wales with great success which grows with every new show. We at Rooksmoor Gallery are very pleased to be able to show his Limited Edition Giclée Prints.

A giclée print is one of the best available means of reproducing an original painting. The technology used is far superior to previous other methods. It uses lightfast inks (tested to 70 years) that are forced deep into acid free heavyweight watercolour paper and has a superb colour match. They are more expensive than traditional lithographs but the excellent archive materials that are used which dramatically increase the lifespan and visible quality of the print explain this. They are not to be confused with home computer ink jet prints that some unscrupulous people advertise as giclées.
