| Lucy Brett is a young artist with a big reputation. Selected for major shows at the Royal West of England Academy in Bristol and for Originals 09 at the Mall Galleries, London, her etchings and silkscreen prints are fast selling out of their editions. Following her degree show at City and Guilds of London Art School in 1999, Lucy was invited by the artist Mary Fedden to use the etching studio of the late Julian Trevelyan at Durham Wharf, Hammersmith Mall where she perfected her use of aquatint and etching processes. Since then Lucy has exhibited widely and has had her work bought for public and private collections. This series of etchings and silkscreen prints has been inspired by the French Alps. Movement, climate and atmosphere have all been captured in Lucy’s unique style. |
