RICHARD LANNOWE-HALL

Richard is an artist who doesn’t really remember a time where art has not been an important part of his life. Both his Uncle and Grandfather were early influences. Later, as part of Richard’s formal art education, he was lucky enough to have worked with Professor Gombrich (author of the Story of Art, published 1950), Keith Albarn and Keith Critchlow.

Richard studied Art at Guildford College of Art, North East London College of Art and at the Royal Academy of Art and has exhibited and painted regularly since then with much success with inclusions in the RA Summer Shows.

His paintings now, reflect the county that he has made his home since 1996 and the love of his other passion, yachting. He divides his time between painting the sea and being part of the sea. Richard lives near St Ives and sails around the coast of Cornwall on the Physis, a yacht which Richard uses for the charity that he helps run which helps rehabilitate a wide range of people with various addictions through the physical and spiritual benefits of sailing.

Richard’s paintings though not huge, do give an impressive view of both sea and sky, reflections of light and water and the vastness of open water. They are paintings to set you dreaming of explorations, discoveries and summer holidays.

Do ask if you would like anymore information about Richard’s charity work.
