FRANS WESSELMAN RE RBSA

Frans grew up and trained in Holland. People are central to his work, which is also based on the close observation of the natural world. He works as in oils, stained glass and as an etcher. All 3 of his practices involve different skills and techniques and he has mastered them all with great visual effect.

In black and white, colour or in glass his pieces all tell delightful, romantic and warming narratives which have led to Frans being a highly collected & successful artist with exhibitions in select galleries across the UK and Holland.

Frans is a member of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists and the Worcestershire Guild of Designer Craftsmen.

Early in 2009 he was involved in "Godiva awakes", an Olympic Games related arts project based in Coventry. This has now won its funding and over the next few years he will be part of a team making it come to life.
